Sleep Core
The Sleep Core focuses on cognitive impairments and complications produced by sleep disorders such as
insomnia and sleep apnea, along with the overall impact on PTSD.  The efficacy of various treatment plans,
including behavioral and pharmaceutical, are evaluated for implementation.

Genetics Core
Genes cause much of the predisposition to major types of psychiatric disorders thus; the goal of the Genetics
core is the identification of predisposing genes that is likely to lead to greater understanding of the brain
mechanisms involved in these disorders. This could lead to the discovery of new or improved treatments.

Magentic Resonance Spectoscopy (MRS) Core
The goal of the Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) Core of is to use the most advanced brain imaging
technology to study neurodegenerative diseases with the aim of improving diagnosis, progression, and
treatment.
