Lisa Butler, PhD
Biography
Biography: Dr. Lisa Butler received her PhD in psychology from Stanford University with a specialty in personality/psychopathology. She completed postdoctoral fellowship in the Stanford School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry. She is currently an associate professor in the School of Social Work at the University at Buffalo where her current research focuses on trauma in veterans. She is currently PI of Joining Forces–UB, a collaboration between UB’s Schools of Social Work and Nursing that has developed veteran-specific training specializations in each school.
Research Interests: Dr. Butler’s research interests include identifying the care needs of veterans and their families, and trauma-informed primary caretrauma-informed primary care.
