Bio: Dr. Goldstein holds a PhD degree from the University of Kansas in Clinical Psychology. He has
been employed by the VA since 1962 and has had appointments at the Menninger Foundation, the University of Kansas, and
the University of Pittsburgh. He is now a Senior Research Career Scientist at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, and Clinical
Professor of Psychiatry and Professor of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Goldstein is a Diplomate in Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN/ABPP) and a Fellow of the American Psychological Association
and the American Psychopathological Association. He is Past President of the International Neuropsychological Society, the
National Academy of Neuropsychology and the Division of Clinical Neuropsychology (40) of the American Psychological Association.
Research Interests: Dr. Goldstein's research interests include clinical neuropsychology and particularly
in the areas of alcoholism, cognitive function in schizophrenia, and neuropsychological rehabilitation.
Recently, he has developed interests in autism, brain development, and medical and psychiatric problems associated with homelessness.
