Margaret "Peggy" Arnott, PhD

Biography: Dr. Margaret "Peggy" Arnott joined the VA Center for Integrated Healthcare (CIH) in March 2021 as the Clinical Education Program Manager. Her background and clinical expertise is in integrated care and PTSD. Prior CIH training resources that she helped develop includes a series of videos highlighting the 5As video along with multiple contributions to the development of materials for PCMHI Competency training. She is passionate about integrated care and is very excited to work with others to support PCMHI education and implementation.
Prior to her tenure with the Center for Integrated Healthcare, Dr. Arnott was the PCMHI Program Manager at the Orlando VA Healthcare System. She helped create and sustain a high fidelity PCMHI program alongside her colleagues. She engaged in clinical work as an integrated primary care behavioral health provider providing both co-located, collaborative care and care management. She also served as a VISN PCMHI Competency Trainer and co-facilitated training over 200 staff in her VISN alone. Prior to coming back to her home state of Florida, Dr. Arnott served at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center as the Lead Psychologist, PTSD Clinical Team Lead, VISN 10 PTSD Co- Mentor, Evidenced-Based Psychotherapy Coordinator and practicum student lead. She also served at the Dayton VA Medical Center on the PTSD Clinical Team, developing an emerging best-practice while there - and also served as the Co-Director of Training for the pre-doctoral, APA accredited internship program. Dr. Arnott received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from The Ohio State University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship with an emphasis in medical psychology, PTSD and general MH at the Dayton VA in Ohio. She lives in Florida with her family - enjoying all things beach and Star Wars!
