Tad Kalahar, BS
Health Science Specialist
Biography: Tad Kalahar joined the CIH team at the end of April 2019 as a Health Science Specialist in the Education and Implementation core. Tad is originally from Des Moines, IA and is a retired active duty Army/Air Force veteran with more than 24 years of service. During his time with the Army, he was a Helicopter Maintainer/Crew Chief, Team Leader, and a Training Manager. During his 9 year tour, he spent time in Germany, Southwest Asia, Korea, Bahamas, Texas, Virginia, and New York. After leaving the Army, Tad went on to managing hotels for both Marriott and Hilton Hotels as a General Manager. He helped guide and lead hotel operations in every facet of the hospitality industry. After 9/11, he re-enlisted into the Air National Guard as a F-16 Maintainer, then Logistics Specialist, Logistics Information Systems Specialist, Human Resources Information Systems Manager, and Human Resources Superintendent where he retired in October of 2016. After retirement, his next opportunity was working with the Department of the Army as DOD Civilian at Ft Drum, NY. His areas of responsibilities included Knowledge Management and SharePoint Administrator that supported the entire Northeast Region of the United States. Tad graduated from Columbia College with BS degree in Business Administration with a Computer Science minor.
