Kaitlin Lilienthal Photo

Biography : Dr. Lilienthal is a second-year Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow with the VA Advanced Fellowship in Mental Illness Research and Treatment (MIRECC) program at the VISN 2 Center for Integrated Healthcare (CIH). Dr. Lilienthal earned her M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, NY, and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND. Prior to joining CIH, she completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the Syracuse Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Syracuse, NY.

Research Interests: Dr. Lilienthal is in interested in improving the process of integrated care, particularly as it applies to women’s health. She is studying novel ways to provide brief mental health treatment in primary care, including interventions that focus on patients’ functional outcomes. She is particularly interested in interventions that target social relationships as a way to improve health and functioning. Dr. Lilienthal’s is also interested in provider behavior as a mechanism for enhancing integrated care services.
