INQQUIRE-VETS
Study Participation
Participation in this study is by invitation only to ensure that we receive input from a representative and diverse group of Veterans. We are especially interested in hearing from Veterans who have not been well-represented in previous research studies, such as women and Veterans not currently using VHA services. Regardless of whether you have ever experienced mental health concerns, suicidal thoughts, or have sought mental health care or VHA services, please consider participating in this survey to help other Veterans.
Survey
Survey invitations are being sent to Veterans ages 18-89 across the U.S., including women and men who:
- Used VHA services of any kind in the past year
- previously used VHA services, but not in the past year
- never used any VHA care
This one-time survey is estimated to take 30-60 minutes to complete, on average, and will be offered online and by mail.
Interview
Some Veterans who participate in this survey will also be eligible to participate in a telephone interview about their preferences for seeking help, barriers to help-seeking, and experiences when suicidal.
If you have any questions about participating, please call our Research Coordinator, Evelyn (Eve) Casiano, at 720-723-3522.
