Transitioning Servicemember/Veteran and Suicide Prevention Center (TASC)
To lead research, clinical, policy, and education efforts that successfully transition Servicemembers to their civilian lives, thus enabling them to find their next “mission” and also to reduce their risk for suicide.
The Transitioning Servicemember/Veteran And Suicide Prevention Center is a team of researchers, clinicians, consultants, experts, and Veterans dedicated to improving the transition from military service to civilian life for transitioning Servicemembers/Veterans (TSM/Vs).
TASC is a partnership between the VISN 2 MIRECC at James J Peters VAMC in Bronx, NY and the VISN 17 Center of Excellence for Research on Returning War Veterans at Waco VAMC in Waco, TX. Primary efforts include:
