Education and Implementation Core
Our education and implementation activities focus on improving the health of Veterans by integrating mental and behavioral health services within primary care and other medical settings. This integration requires significant transformation of the way that mental health professionals provide care. Our Center supports this transformation by offering an array of education, consultation, and implementation support services.
- Education and Training – With more than 4,900 healthcare professionals trained, we provide the largest competency-focused training program within VHA to support initial and ongoing training of all integrated care staff nationally.
- Implementation – We provide a comprehensive portfolio of individualized support to enhance implementation of high-quality integrated care programming across the country.
- Communities of Practice – We foster the development of integrated care communities and enhance implementation by leading 11 monthly national calls.
