Shane W. Kraus, Ph.D.
Dr. Shane Kraus received his Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from Bowling Green State University in 2013. He completed his pre-doctoral psychology internship at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System in 2013 and his post-doctoral advanced psychology fellowship at the VISN 1 New England MIRECC, VA Connecticut Healthcare System and Yale University Department of Psychiatry in 2015. His research interests focus on the assessment and treatment of addictive behaviors and other co-occurring disorders (e.g., PTSD, major depressive disorder) among Veterans, and his particular area of both research and clinical interest is in assessment and treatment of behavioral addictions such as problem gambling and compulsive sexual behavior. He has presented his research at national and international conferences and currently consults with the World Health Organization on the development of diagnostic criteria for compulsive sexual behavior for the 11th revision of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD-11). Dr. Kraus also serves as the Director of the Behavioral Addictions Clinic at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital.
