VISN 1 New England MIRECC Education
The Education Core serves a vital function within the VISN 1 New England MIRECC. The MIRECC supports and sponsors local and regional conferences and workshops as well as grand rounds and other educational programming related to improving treatments and access to health care services for Veterans dually diagnosed with mental health and addiction issues. In addition, we make available resources that we have developed for health care professionals and Veterans with dual diagnosis issues, including training manuals, videos, and PowerPoint presentations. VISN 1 MIRECC Early Career Granting Writing Seminar Series
- The VISN 1 MIRECC hosts a weekly virtual grant writing seminar, open to early career investigators across the VISN to support their development, writing, and submission of career development awards. Admission to the group is determined on a case-by-case basis, to ensure seminar alignmnet with each participant's needs. The weekly one-hour meetings includes didactics on NIH, ORD and VISN-wide early career grants, as well as review of members' grant documents. A one-semester commitment (January to June; September to December) is required. Please contact seminar co-leads Drs. Erin Reilly or Victoria Ameral if interested or for more information.
