About this community

The Interventions Community of Research (CoR) brings together investigators with expertise in clinical trials, behavioral interventions, pharmacotherapy, and treatment development to advance mental health care for Veterans.

Our research spans the full continuum of intervention science — from early-phase treatment development and efficacy testing to effectiveness research in real-world VA settings. We study interventions targeting PTSD, depression, suicide risk, substance use, and comorbid conditions, with an emphasis on improving access to and outcomes of evidence-based care for those who have served.
