Research InterestsMy research interests and experience are focused on using epidemiologic methods with large population-based and health services datasets. Over the past several years, I have worked to build an expertise in psychiatric epidemiology. I have utilized national electronic medical records to examine the intersection of substance use, suicide risk and rehabilitation among highly vulnerable populations, including Veterans utilizing VHA services. In previous research studies, I have analyzed complex datasets (i.e. prescription drug monitoring databases) to elucidate opioid overdose indicators. I have experience analyzing data from population-based surveys as well as electronic medical records, and published on the effects of population health interventions on behavior change (i.e. treatment seeking) among Veterans. |
