Are you looking for help in encouraging a Veteran to get support or mental health care? Call 888-823-7458

Call us Monday – Friday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern time
  • If we miss your call, leave a message or email CoachingIntoCare@va.gov and we’ll return your call within one business day.
  • Coaching is provided by licensed psychologists or social workers and it is completely free of charge.
  • Calls generally last from 10 to 30 minutes depending on the situation. Some coaching requires more than one call, usually with the same coach.

It can be difficult for family members and friends to help a Veteran who is facing a mental health challenge. If you are unsure how to start a conversation about seeking care, call Coaching Into Care at 888-823-7458.

Developed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Coaching Into Care is a free, confidential service for Veterans’ loved ones and other supporters. Responders will listen to your concerns and offer helpful resources and referrals.
