Clinical Educator Grant Program Now Accepting Applications

Our FY22 Clinical Educator Grant Program is now accepting applications. This program is an opportunity for clinicians and researchers at VA medical centers (VAMCs) and community-based outpatient clinics (CBOCs) to develop educational products that address clinical gaps to improve mental health care for rural and underserved Veterans.

Mental health clinicians, researchers, evaluators, and educators in VISN 16 and VISN 17 or those collaborating with VISN 16 or VISN 17 mental health professionals are eligible to apply. Projects must support the SC MIRECC mission to improve mental health care for rural and other underserved Veterans. Projects tailored to rural populations should be applicable to CBOC or rural community settings.

All products should include consideration about diversity, equity, and inclusion. Products will be made available to the public for free and must be designed to be easily disseminated and easy for clinicians or Veterans to use.

In addition to our annual Clinical Educator Grant Program, this year we are offering a special topic Clinical Educator Grant. The special topic is Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Mental Health Care. The annual and special topic Clinical Educator Grant Program have the same grant application and funding possibilities.

Email your complete application to VISN16SCMIRECCEducation@va.gov by 4:00 pm CT on August 13, 2021.

Not in VISNs 16 or 17? You can still benefit from this program by accessing our collection of free products, including a veteran wellness guide, a brief relaxation intervention, a military sexual trauma educational group, a brochure for managing dementia related behaviors, and more.

Visit https://www.mirecc.va.gov/visn16/clinical-educator-grants.asp to apply.
