Noah R. Wolkowicz, Ph.D.
Dr. Noah R. Wolkowicz is a licensed Psychologist at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System (VACHS) in West Haven and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine. He completed his doctoral internship at the VACHS Addiction Track and his PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Arkansas. His research program focuses on developing and evaluating digital health interventions for addictive disorders, as well as identifying risk factors that exacerbate their course or treatment. Dr. Wolkowicz also has a background in multilevel modeling, a statistical technique well-suited for examining interindividual differences in intraindividual change (e.g., treatment response), and experience working with the VHA’s Corporate Data Warehouse. He is currently the recipient of a 5-year VA Rehabilitation R&D Career Development Award to develop a smartphone-based mobile application to support Veterans receiving medication treatment for opioid use disorder (Award ID: 1IK2RX005015-01A1).

- Developing a Smartphone Application to Support the Functional needs of Veterans in medication Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder (PI).
A Rehabilitation Research and Development CDA-2 to develop, iteratively revise, and evaluate a smartphone application (“ACT to RECOVER”) to support the treatment of veterans engaged in medication treatment for opioid use disorder. 2024 – 2029. - Stakeholder perspectives on the use of digital health interventions in early MOUD: A qualitative exploration (PI).
Funded by Human Services Research & Development’s Virtual Care CORE to identify barriers and facilitators to traditional approaches for Veteran’s medication treatment for opioid use disorder and elucidate Veteran perspectives towards digital health interventions in such care. 2022-2023. - Acceptability and Feasibility of a Mobile Intervention to Support Veteran MOUD Engagement (PI).
A VACHS West Haven pilot grant to evaluate a preliminary symptom monitoring and response tool for Veterans during the first month of their medication treatment for opioid use disorder. 2021 – 2022.
