Pilot Study Grant Opportunity for VISN 16 Researchers
Pilot studies are a foundation for supporting large-scale, federally funded research. Our Pilot Study Research Program is a great opportunity for investigators who are interested in pilot funding for studies that aim to improve Veterans’ access to high quality mental health and substance use treatment services, as well as to help community partners better serve the behavioral health needs of rural and other underserved Veterans. We invite pilot study applications that support our mission:
To promote engagement, access, and quality of mental health care for Veterans facing barriers to care, especially rural Veterans.
This request for pilot study applications is intended to increase both the quantity and quality of federally funded research that will help us better understand the experiences of underserved Veterans and to support development and dissemination of evidence-based practices that can make a real difference in their lives.
Researchers in VISN 16 are invited to apply. We accept applications four times a year. Visit our research webpage to download the applications. The next deadline to submit a proposal is July 1, 2025. If you have questions contact Dr. Brandon Griffin (Brandon.Griffin2@va.gov).
