CBOC Mental Health Grand Rounds Offers No-Cost CE to VA Clinicians Nationwide

SC MIRECC has been a leader in educating VA clinicians on priorities in mental health care since 1998. Our CBOC Mental Health Grand Rounds webinar series provides education that is focused on the unique geographic needs of Veterans and clinicians in VA community-based outpatient clinics (CBOCs) and rural settings. The valuable content of the sessions is also pertinent to clinicians at VA medical centers, Vet Centers, and telehealth hubs, all of whom are welcome to attend.

Since 2011, more than 47,500 learners have registered for the rounds and more than 16,800 have received continuing education credit. The Grand Rounds are presented in Adobe Connect for one hour, twice a month to accommodate clinicians across the country. For clinicians who can’t attend in person, each webinar is recorded and accredited for continuing education credit in the VA Talent Management System approximately one month after the live presentation.

Each presentation is accredited for 1 hour of continuing education credit through:

• Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education
• Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (for physicians and non-physicians)
• American Psychological Association (APA)
• American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB)
• New York State Education Department (NYSED) Social Work Board
• New York State Education Department (NYSED) State Board for Psychology
• California Board of Behavioral Sciences
• National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC)
• Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
